In reference to Xavier Moore's review about The Flashback Restaurant, I personally disagree with any of the comments written about the staff and the restaurant. My friend Sharon and I have been going to this restaurant since it opened every Saturday and Sunday and we have ALWAYS been greeted warmly by the staff, who are considered family to us! Their food is delicious and my friend Sharon is always recommending this place for a nice and enjoyable atmosphere but most importantly, the staff there is truly amazing! They are on top of their game and when and if we have a mishap with our food, they are always willing and follow through with a fresh, hot plate prepared to our satisfaction! As far as the incident that has has been described as hair in Mr. Moore's plate, the owner was apologetic and happily brought out a fresh plate. Sharon and I were there at the time this incident happened and saw and heard it all. The owner did not walk off nor did she say there is no one in the back cooking with black hair. The owner was not loud, she was very courteous and gladly made a new plate. The owner made a new fresh plate to accommodate for the hair you said was in your food. There were no questions asked by the staff, your plate was removed and another fresh plate brought out quickly. The staff love the veterans who come in and welcome them just the same as any other customer! Every customer who walks through the door is greeted immediately with a warm welcome! The staff will do anything to accommodate their customers because their goal is to make their customers happy! They even go as far as making a dish slightly different than what may be on the menu to accommodate individuals health preferences.I truly hope that Mr. Moore's review does not impact a person judgment in a negative way. If you are a regular, then you all know this place warm and welcoming and the staff are amazing. But if you haven't been here yet, you have to give this place a chance before you place any judgment on anyone who works there or the place itself! I HIGHLY recommend anyone to come and enjoy the atmosphere with welcoming arms! You have no idea what you are missing.

Greeted the second we walked in the door and seated promptly, loved the 50’s diner look and red booths! The atmosphere here is very warming and you feel very welcomed by the family who owns and operates the joint. They are very personable and make you feel right at home. The food here is the best in town!! I haven’t had a better meal anywhere in town. Big portions and willing to accommodate. My bf and I both got the banana split and don’t care for chocolate ice cream so the server asked us if we’d like to switch that flavor we chose salted caramel. Very inexpensive and affordable! The kids fell in love with this place and loved all the decorations for Halloween as well as the food and frosted mugs of root beer. Would highly recommend checking this place out. The Reuben was the best I ever had!! & my bf loved the tuna melt!! Desserts were amazing too as my youngest couldn’t wait to try the pb frosted chocolate cake and oldest the vanilla sundae. Loved hearing the stories from the family how this place came about and how they brought their upstate NY inspired cooking to their diner!

Second visit here. Our party thoroughly enjoyed our first visit so we are repeat customers. We sat at the bar, again, and received excellent service. We met some folks who are regulars there, had great conversation with several waitstaff, customers, as well as the owners/cooks, and enjoyed the friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Our home cooked breakfast meals were delicious and filling. You will definitely not walk away hungry. Their waffles taste like funnel cake. Ummmm. Yep. Throughout the week, there are various desserts that are not on the menu...Specials. If luck is on your side, you will get to taste THE carrot cake. We will return!

We just moved to the area and my husband suggested we try to find a mom/pop restaurant to try. This is the first one that came up. We absolutely loved the whole experience! The restaurant is clean, service was outstanding, food was fresh and delicious! We sang along with all the oldies that were playing. They won my heart with their corn nuggets. I haven’t seen those since I visited Texas years ago. I really enjoyed reading the unique names of all the different dishes. We figured out the restaurant was family owned and operated. They all came out and introduced themselves and we had a great conversation. This likely will be our new spot Went again today July 5th. I ordered a ham, turkey, bacon club sandwich. Oh my! It was LAYERED with awesomeness!

Superb. We all had a great breakfast. The quality was as good or better than any breakfast place in town. The service was great, and the atmosphere excellent. Thanks for not making the music too loud. The bill was at least 6 less than I would have paid at IHOP or Linda's. It was not crowded. I liked the coffee. If you want strong or bitter coffee, stick with the coffee shops. It's just plain old-fashioned cafe style at The Flashback.

This place is so cute. It is super affordable for lunch as well. I had the club sandwich and it was the biggest sandwich I ever had. I ended up taking more than half home and it was my dinner. The french fries were perfect. My husband had roast beef sandwich. He really liked it. Something to note, bread is not toasted. His preference for roast beef sandwich is to have it toasted. We realize thats not how most places do it. It was more of an oversight on his end. The server was amazing. The staff are so friendly. The sweet tea was perfect as well I want to add. Please don't hesitate to eat here.

Whenever I get the chance, I head to this small, family-run diner—and I’ve never had a bad experience. I usually order the classic breakfast of eggs, bacon, and pancakes, and if they have banana pudding on the menu, I will grab some of that, too. The pancakes are huge and taste amazing; the eggs are the fluffiest I’ve ever had. When I asked the cook how she does it, she said her secret ingredient is “love.”As mom-and-pop diners go, this one is easily the best in town. The only drawbacks are the limited parking and the somewhat unpredictable hours. The last time I showed up, they were closed despite their posted schedule. Still, aside from that minor inconvenience, this place is fantastic. If you’re in the area, it’s worth a visit.

I am new to the city and wanted to try some local restaurants. Decided to give this little restaurant in the cut a try. I was riding by one day and I saw the sign and decided to stop by on my lunch. It was lunchtime and it was kind of packed. I was greeted as soon as I walked in, and I sat at the bar. I decided to get the cheese and bacon fries and also the chicken bacon ranch sandwich. The service was great and the food came quickly. They were busy in there so I was actually surprised when they brought the food. The fries were crispy and tasted good alone. The cheese and bacon only added more flavor to the fries. I would recommend the bacon and cheese fries to anyone. Now onto the chicken bacon ranch sandwich. I have had a lot of chicken bacon ranch sandwiches in my life from various places, but this one is easily top three. The type of chicken that they used was different than any other chicken that I had before, it tasted as if it was a rotisserie style chicken that they had chopped up to use as the meat. I could be wrong, I don’t know, I just know it was amazing. I do not know if you can tell from the pictures, but that is piled high. I was not even able to close the sandwich. I had to get a fork and eat out of the middle like a salad, just to be able to eventually close the sandwich and eat it regularly. Overall, the food was great. I will definitely be eating there again in the near future. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was very diner-ish, in a good way. There was plenty of seating and space. I would definitely recommend this to anyone.
